Yes. There's no account, no subscription, and no ads. Pest control companies pay for featured placement, which is how the app is funded.
PestCheck uses an AI vision model and gives its best assessment along with a confidence level. It can be wrong. It is not a substitute for inspection by a licensed professional. If you might be dealing with a venomous animal or a health hazard, contact a professional.
Our server sleeps when it hasn't been used for a while. The first identification after a quiet period can take up to a minute. Later ones are fast.
No. Photos are sent for analysis and then discarded. We don't store them and we don't build a profile from them. See the privacy policy.
We partner with pest control companies in each state, and featured placement is how the free app is funded. The identification itself is independent of who is featured — if no treatment is needed, we tell you that and recommend no one. If we have no partner in your state, we say so rather than sending you somewhere far away.
